PLEASE BE GOOD, PLEASE BE GOOD, PLEASE BE GOOD!
Remember back in 1993 when Steven Spielberg made arguably the greatest blockbuster this world has ever seen. And for 32 years we have been chasing that high and no other Jurassic Park or Jurassic World movie has even come close to what was achieved all those years ago.
Well Gareth Edwards, a man who knows how to direct scale and big ass scary monsters (Godzilla) is going to try and crack the code and bring us a proper Dino sequel. The Jurassic World movies have been okay, nothing spectacular, they all made a shit ton of money, but they never truly recaptured what made the original so unique and special.
Well I trust this man to make a great movie and it helps that the cast of Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey and Mahershala Ali are expected to bring the heat. Taking place 5 years after the last Jurassic World movie (hot garbage) they are returning to the island where the first research lab was built.
Okay, so that trailer was kind of fire? It feels almost like a Jurassic Park heist movie, that’s blended with a horror movie genre? One thing this movie desperately needs is some scares. That’s been one aspect of the 3 previous movies that didn’t work for me. Dinosaurs are scary as shit and we need to bring that element back to this franchise.
Some new Dinosaurs, apparently the ones too big and scary for the original park, need some DNA extracted from them, so that’s basically the plot of this movie. Simple, yet something new for these films. Visually, Gareth Edwards is putting is own personal flare into the movie, the lush and green jungle environments, the dinosaurs themselves are so detailed and they’re really popping in this trailer.
Jonathan Bailey is kind of the fucking man isn’t he?
